Let Me See, Let Me Hear

angelbrideAs the Lord leads us in this dance, He brings us into new level of spiritual maturity. These dance steps are progressively laid out, step by step, within the Song of Solomon.

“O My dove… Let Me See thy countenance, Let Me Hear thy voice.” Song of Solomon 2:14a

Our heart’s desire toward the Lord (“Let me see”), and the expression of our willingness to obey (“Let me Hear”) determines the action that the Lord will take to bring us into the full fruition of the potential He sees within us.

“If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.” Isaiah 1:19

To be “willing” means that my self-life no longer controls my desires and actions. We unconditionally yield to the Lord full control to our life and all that pertains to it. Every part of my being desires the very best the Lord has for you.

To be obedient speaks of my having a spirit of obedience that is resident within you, and is responsive to His requests. At times this may require us waiting upon the Lord for His enabling grace for obedience. Grace is the divine empowering that creates within you the desire and the ability to obey.

“By Whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for His Name” Romans 1:5.

The secret of learning these dance steps will begin to unfold as I maintain a right attitude and response to these two words, “willing and obedient.” This takes practice, as we all know, when learning a new routine. But, soon you will be moving with grace and elegance.
